From June 18 to 22 Detroit will play host to hundreds of venture capitalists, angel investors, entrepreneurs, startups, and those simply interested in startups for Detroit Startup Week hosted by Techstars and Chase for Business. Boasting more than 200 free sessions, Detroit Startup Week includes a mobility track, lead by the Detroit Regional Chamber’s MICHauto and Destination Detroit, highlighting what Detroit does best—transforming the way people, goods and services move around the world.
On the first episode of Driven’s Startup Spotlight podcast, host Devon O’Rielly sits down with Kyle Bazzy, Chief Operating Officer of Grand Circus, and the Co-Lead for Detroit Startup Week to talk about what to expect in this year’s programming.
Driven - Startup Spotlight: Kyle Bazzy, Detroit Startup Week
Detroit Startup Week is a community led event that celebrates and supports region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. It’s a week full of more than 200 programs dedicated to helping both small businesses and the next big tech company—there is something of value for everyone.
What’s incredible about the week is the community came up with the programming,” said Bazzy. “And since the entire week is underwritten, we can provide low-barrier access for all. That means for every single event during Startup Week is free.”
