From June 18 to 22 Detroit will play host to hundreds of venture capitalists, angel investors, entrepreneurs, startups, and those simply interested in startups for Detroit Startup Week hosted by Techstars and Chase for Business. Boasting more than 200 free sessions, Detroit Startup Week includes a mobility track highlighting what Detroit does best—transforming the way people, goods and services move around the world.

Mobility sessions will cover topics including the partnerships between corporations and entrepreneurs, the resources available to mobility startups in Detroit, and how the region is using technology to solve the world’s mobility and transportation problems. Corporates and the Startup – Working Together

Wednesday, June 20, 2-3:00 p.m.

Navigating the corporate world can be difficult, time-consuming and confusing for the creative startup-minded mentality. Likewise, speed in innovation and implementation of new technology can be challenging for the large multi-national organization. We aim to clear the confusion with some real-life examples of strategic partnerships.


Startups Driving Detroit’s Mobility Transformation

Mobility startups are moving quickly to lead nearly every major innovation at the intersection of automotive and technology. From autonomous vehicles to safer roads through AI to keeping vehicle sensors clean, automotive and tech giants are learning from and acquiring their way into the mobility startup ecosystem in Detroit.

In this interactive panel, participants will hear startup stories from a few leading mobility entrepreneurs driving change throughout the world. Attendees will be able to ask questions about startup successes and failure and mingle with Detroit’s mobility community.
 

Understanding Detroit’s Mobility Startup Ecosystem

Detroit Solving Global Mobility Problems

As society and cities continue to change, new technological innovations have the ability to alleviate mobility challenges around the globe including street congestion, individual access to transportation methods, and safety concerns. This session will bring together examples of mobility issues plaguing modern society that are being addressed and implemented in the Detroit region.
