On May 17, more than 20 top automotive leaders convened 27 state legislators in Lansing to discuss key issues for the industry future. Prior to the event, MICHauto released its policy priorities, which are focused on protecting and growing the automotive industry. The priorities set the tone for the day and helped highlight issues that are prevalent in the industry.

Glenn Stevens, executive director of MICHauto, kicked off the day briefing the automotive companies on the importance of educating lawmakers about the industry’s needs and concerns.

Meetings offered a unique opportunity for automotive leaders to share their personal stories and real-world testimonials as the state continues to develop policy around connected and automated vehicle research and development.
