8,600+ engineering degrees were awarded by Michigan education institutions in 2018, with 39% maters degrees or higher.

Michigan ranks number one among all states in the concentration for occupations in mechanical engineering, model makers, industrial engineers, commercial and industrial designers.  16 universities and colleges have nationally ranked undergraduate engineering programs, and four have nationally ranked graduate programs in Michigan.
